It's kind of beginning to look a lot like Christmas... 🎄☃️

Where I'm at: Here in Tennessee, life is getting pretty busy and we get so many amazing treats so it's really a happy place to be. The temperature has gotten to be chillier and also it was walk week so I got to utilize my big winter coat. Christmas Eve will be really fun, we are going to go caroling and cookie delivering with our district and then on Christmas I get to talk to my family! Woohoo! The most prominent decorations around here are the automatic (as seen on TV) lights and then nativity sets. Somebody even has a huge "Happy Birthday Jesus" sign lit up in their yard. Christmas as a missionary is so awesome!

Spiritual: On the day of Zone Conference, we realized that we had misplaced the phone at about lunch time. Transportation had been crazy so it could have been any number of places. We looked in pockets, bags, a car, and we still couldn't find it. This was a major problem because we did not yet have a ride home from Zone Conference. After Zone Conference was over we tried to get rides from people there, but nobody had room. Consequently, the STL's took us in. They felt really prompted to look for the phone on the left side of the fireplace in their apartment, but after driving over and looking, it wasn't there. We said a kneeling prayer and then walked back to the car, heads hanging low. Suddenly, about 3 feet in front of the parked car, sat our phone. It blended in really well with the pavement and was entirely undamaged. Oh my goodness. It was an absolute miracle. We said a prayer right there in the parking lot and everything worked out after that. Prayer works. It's amazing.

Funny: We are so lucky because we get to teach a girl who is about to turn 8 the lessons! Her parents are members, but are letting us practice our teaching skills. This week, we taught about the Plan of Salvation using a Christmas tree and ornaments describing every step. My favorite part was when we had been talking about life on Earth and then the son who about 5 kept focusing on using the "death" piece. I said "Don't worry, death will come soon enough" and the mom, with a grin on her face  said "Are you threatening my child? Don't worry I do it all the time." It was a really fun lesson and such good practice! #familyisforever

Have a fantastic Christmas everyone!
