Service Power

Spiritual: This week we did a lot of service and that really was amazing. We have seen miracles come from the people we serve and we get a lot of opportunities to start conversations about why we are serving and about how much Jesus Christ was the ultimate example in service. When we did caroling as a district, we saw how willing people were to give referrals to us of people that might be having a lonely Christmas. I am gaining a testimony of the power of service here.

Funny: We had a Christmas Party as a mission and it was awesome! I thought it was really funny when our Mission President let us watch a movie, and he chose the Testaments. It's a really spiritually powerful movie, but the main characters kiss (two times!!) and it was so funny to watch the missionaries freeze or respond to the unexpected situations. Bahaha. Another funny part was when we played charades with movie titles and it was just so funny to watch and also fun to do.

Where I’m at: Christmas was wonderful today and Millington is amazing. We found a few new investigators and were able to teach a lot today. We were repeatedly grateful that we were not biking or walking during the all-rain day. I was so glad to talk to my family and the presents were awesome and so fun. It was so nice to have new fuzzy pajamas. OH! Also, Dawn will be getting baptized January 6th and is so nice. She loves the Book of Mormon and is seeing a lot of miracles coming into her life. The members here are so sweet and we are thoroughly stuffed with goodies.

This is the best time of year to be a missionary.

Love y'all!

We had a delightful skype visit with Emma on Christmas. She loves her mission, the people she works with, being a missionary, and the south. She is exactly where she wants to be and is really happy.
