Spiritual: Every week we have a really cool class called
"Book of Mormon Class" on Wednesday nights at the church so that ideally,
we could bring investigators and that it would be at the ideal time when
parents are bringing other kids to scouts or Activity Days. Sometimes, it isn't
very well attended, but this week we had all the missionaries, plus a Bishopric
member, and one of our favorite ward members, Sister Brumley. Also, the AP's
were there for exchanges to they came too. We read from 1 Nephi 19-20 and we
just had a really good time. There was a lot of preparation and so we had a lot
of good discussions.
Funny: We did a manners dinner with a really nice ward
member and her 4 granddaughters. It was so cute! They practiced their curtsies,
put their napkins on their laps, and kept their elbows off the table. They
loved it! Then, later that night we got to come back and help them with
spelling/ math homework and talk about the Activity Days program with them. IT
was super fun and I think they will remember it for a long time!
Where I'm at: Sister Wheeler leaves back home for Idaho next
week and so it is pretty busy around here. We have been working with a whole
lot of awesome kiddos and we even got to do a weekly planning session with
Sister Hansen and she was just continually surprised when we kept telling her
how many families we are teaching. I'm really going to miss Sister Wheeler, but
i know she's super excited to see her family. Also, I guess I'm probably going
to get a new companion, so stay tuned for next week!
We
got to choose a country from the Olympics and since they are being held in
South Korea, we requested food from there! It was delicious and we had
requested mild so it was fine. I really liked the beef/rice and liked the
sprouts less, but it was fun. That family is awesome!
