Funny: Remember Sarah? The 8-year old who we were teaching
the lessons to? Well, we had dinner with them and taught about enduring to the
end using our handy dandy, homemade, Chutes and Ladders board! Everybody was
their own LEGO character (I was Batman) and when you would land on something
really good, you got to go up a ladder and when you would do something that
required repenting, you would go down a slide. All the kids were on the fast
track to the temple, but the parents kept getting stuck on slides. The mom
ended up falling down the "swearing" slide like four times in a row.
It was so funny!
Spiritual: There was an awesome lesson with the Brumley's
and we taught about prayer. The two girls gave very adorable and sincere
prayers and then we were able to transition it to the Holy Ghost and we did an
obstacle course activity. With kids, FUN + SPIRITUAL = WIN!
Where I’m at: This next transfer, I am going to be staying
in Millington with Sister Woolley as my new companion! Sister Wheeler is
excited to go home, but sad to leave and I have learned a lot from her. Oh!
Also, since I basically reached my 9-month mark, I got a haircut! Just in time
for summer!
