Funny: When we had taught Cameron and Amber last week, they
had complained because they wanted to play a game with us. Us, being the sneaky
missionaries we are, said that this time, if they were respectful and reverent
while we talked about church and praying, we could play a game after. They did
a good job listening and then we played the game with them. The game was
basically teaching them the Plan of Salvation and calling it a board game. It
was awesome!
Spiritual: We were hoping to apply things from Preach my Gospel
this week and one aspect of that was trying ideas from it more. So, one day, we
focused on the first two “How to Begin” Teaching Points. (#1 Because God is our
Heavenly Father, we are all brothers and sisters. We would like to refer to you
as brothers and sisters. #2 Each person we teach has personal challenges and
concerns. No matter what your needs or concerns might be, the Savior and His
teachings—the gospel—will help you.) As we helped people understand these basic
doctrines we had conversations that were very spiritual and testifying was so
easy. I mostly shared #2 and we saw a lot of miracles come.
Where I’m at: Sister Woolley and i are in Millington and I
have just hit my 9-month mark. That is just crazy. I still don't know
everything, but I am learning more and more about how to learn. We need to find
more people to teach and more ways to serve, but I think we can definitely see
the Lord's hand sending us people to connect to.
