Sacred Music

Hello! What a good week!

Spiritual: We visited Sister Grover and since I knew she liked music, Sister Woolley had the idea to show her the "I Stand all Amazed" video with BYU Vocal Point and we asked her to think about what the Savior means to her. She was so touched by the video. We heard her testimony of Jesus Christ and then we invited her to pray that night and express her gratitude for the Savior and for her testimony of Him. The Spirit was so strong and it built my own testimony of the power of sacred music and inspired questions.

Funny: We were teaching some 9-year old girls about prayer and talking about things you can be grateful for in your prayers and Mallory and Ashtyn talked about their family, peace, and their fish. Then, Ashtyn got very excited and said " I am so thankful for Mexico because without Mexico we wouldn't have soft tacos and I LOVE soft tacos" None of us could keep a straight face and it was so funny!

Where I'm at: I am still in Millington, but am now officially joined by Sister Woolley! She is from Utah and loves classical music and also loves the fact that our apartment has a toaster oven (for Pizza Toast). She has been out for about 4.5 months and is amazing. We are now teaching even more children, but are also seeing miracles come as we try to find adults. We had a really good time playing Chair Soccer with the YW this week and will definitely be doing that again!

Love ya!
Sister Black
