Converted by the Choir 🎶

Funny: Zone Conference was on Wednesday and it was so fantastic! We learned about Satan and about the awesome blessings of keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. President Hansen was helping us learn about how to help people come to church and so he did a role play for us, it was so impressive! He's just very bold, but very sincere so I just watch him in awe. At one point in the role play, he said "and as we talked about last time, church is only two hours long". He then turned to us and winked 😂 We all really appreciated the opportunity to laugh and see that practicing teaching can be funny. Plus, I'm super excited for the change to a two-hour block so that we can have more people we are teaching come, even if they have health challenges.

Spiritual: We met Becky this week and she is one of the most most enthusiastic learners I've met while on my mission! She loves the Bible and has always wanted to read the Book of Mormon, but then she had hard things happen and wasn't ever able to start. The reason she was so interested in the Book of Mormon in the first place was that she grew up listening to the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square (formerly known as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir) and it is her dream to sing with the Choir. When we showed her scriptures from the Book of Mormon, she got so interested and saw how she could get answers to her questions through reading and praying. Sister Taylor bore a really powerful testimony of the Book of Mormon and also said that we could get an autograph for her from a member of the Choir 😊 We are so excited to see her next week!

Where I'm at: We've just barely realized how many people that we have the opportunity to teach right now and it makes us really excited that we can improve our teaching skills and hopefully help someone progress towards baptism. We should have a normal (as normal as it gets) week and are doing really well. The weather here has taken a turn to the cold side and I broke out my cardigans so that I could stay warm.

Have a joyful week!
