Bedbug life

Wow. What an interesting and unexpected experience for me. I found a literal bedbug in my bed and feel like the apartment had betrayed me. We have been working so hard to clean and insecticide our apartment and I am so grateful for Sister Esplin. We have been letting this crazy happenstance bond us instead of degrade our enthusiasm. We will survive!

Spiritual: Our recent convert, Sara,  has been facing a lot of unanticipated trials and we have been watching how she has been dealing with them and trying to help wherever we can.  When we visited her this week we were so uplifted and happy because she has been so strong in dealing with her tribulations and she is being such a great example to her boys. They have been reading, praying, and changing to be more Christlike. She wants to improve her life because she can feel the presence of the Holy Ghost and it inspires her to change. I learn so much from her.

Funny: Tonight we tried to visit a lady that Sister Quigley and I had met and we knocked on the door of her apartment and it was answered by her shirtless teenage son. We asked if his family was home and he was like "no, but if you want to do a Bible study you can come in and I'll put on a shirt" we declined, but set up another day to try to visit. As we were walking away I almost started laughing at the weird situation and it's a good thing I didn't because he yelled after us that he was sorry that he wasn't able to help us find his mom. To be honest though, I was chuckling in the car. We just aren't allowed to do bible study with shirtless teenage boys at 8 at night. Crazy times.

Arkadelphia is going to be THE BEST with Sister Esplin and me!
What an adventure 🙂

Other bedbug news (but I will spare you the picture): ðŸ™‚ "I'm currently writing this as Sister Esplin and I wait for the Office Elders to arrive with the anti-bedbug spray. This week has been unexpected. Satan knows that Sister Esplin and I are a powerhouse team and so we are given the opportunity to keep other fabrics safe after discovering (at a return appointment) that our investigator has a bedbug infestation. We have spent Wednesday and Thursday cleaning and bagging and laundering our apartment. It was exciting. I found a living and healthy bedbug in my bed. It's dead now. They are small, but mighty. Sister Esplin has dealt with bedbugs like 3 times in her mission so she is a pro... Or cursed. One of the two.
